The Preparation of a Site Management Plan for the Transnational Serial Property of Darb Zubaydah

The Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage organized the first online workshop as part of the Capacity Building Progamme on ‘The Preparation of a Site Management Plan for the Transnational Serial Property of Darb Zubaydah’ from August 13th to 15th. The workshop was supported and organized in collaboration with the Heritage Commission under the Ministry of Culture in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and in cooperation with the State Board of Antiquities and Heritage in the Republic of Iraq.

The program aims to provide participants with knowledge on the concept of management plans and its planning, implementation, and monitoring requirements and support the establishment of effective transnational management mechanisms for Darb Zubaydah serial property. It also aims to equip the participants with current knowledge on the best practices of international cooperation by highlighting a number of inscribed transnational properties and support the definition of the scope and structure of the common section and of the national sections of the Management Plan.
