42nd Session of the World Heritage Committee
The 42nd Session of the World Heritage Committee, held from 24 June- 4 July 2018 in Manama, Bahrain, has successfully concluded. Chaired by H.E. Sheikha Haya Haya Bin Rashed Al-Khalifa, the Committee inscribed 19 sites on the World Heritage List (cultural, natural and mixed), two of which belong to the Arab region, Al-Ahsa Oasis, an evolving Cultural Landscape (Saudi Arabia), and Ancient City of Qalhat (Oman).
