Third Cycle of the Periodic Reporting Exercise Focal Points meeting for the Arab States
The World Heritage Centre (WHC) and the Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage (ARC-WH) organized a regional meeting for the Arab States World Heritage Focal Points on the Third Cycle of the Periodic Reporting Exercise from 26 – 27 February 2019 at the UNESCO Headquarters located in Paris, France. Focal points from five Arab countries that were not able to attend the first regional workshop organized in Bahrain in November 2018 by ARC-WH and WHC had the opportunity to share their expertise in the field of conservation and voice concerns related to the state of conservation of World Heritage sites located in their countries with ARC-WH and WHC.
The two-day exercise aimed at reinforcing the Focal Points’ capacities in the field of World Heritage conservation related to the Periodic Reporting, and also assisted participants in filling out the questionnaires of the Third Cycle Exercise.
