Conversation on Hawar: Preservation and Development

Located about 50 kilometers south of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Hawar Islands are one of the most important natural habitats home to a significant number of avian and marine species.  The area boasts unique geographical and natural characteristics, making it important to preserve the area by keeping in line with global efforts to protect natural and cultural heritage.

During the 14th Spring Culture Festival, the Arab Regional Center for World Heritage (ARC-WH) will echo these global conservation efforts through a week-long program of events to highlight the islands, their importance and ways to preserve their natural heritage.
