Contribution to the coordination meeting regarding the Phase I workshop on producing management plans for selected heritage sites in Tunisia
Within the framework of the project, Phase I workshop focused on producing site management plans for the World Heritage sites in Tunisia, the World Monuments Fund (WMF), in partnership with ARCWH and the Institut National du Patrimoine organised a coordination meeting on 3 December 2020 with the group heritage professionals working on the preparation of the management plan of the World Heritage site of Kairouan (Tunisia).
The discussion included the revision of the various steps proposed by the working group and the outcomes from their first field visit and meetings organised at the site level, as well as the methodology of local and national cooperation with the stakeholders involved in the preparation and implementation of management planning. Suggestions also included the documentation to be consulted for the management planning and approach to be adopted for the organisation and implementation of the different stages.
