Training workshop on mechanisms of the World Heritage Convention and the nomination process
In collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Youth (United Arab Emirates), the Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage (ARC-WH) is organising an online ‘training workshop on the mechanisms and concepts of the World Heritage Convention and the nomination process’ from 20 to 22 September 2021.
National stakeholders and heritage professionals from the United Arab Emirates will be attending the online workshop. They will receive training and information on the main concepts and processes of World Heritage and additional information on a range of heritage-related topics such as underrepresented categories of heritage sites, Modern Heritage, and synergies between natural and cultural heritage.
The workshop aims to strengthen the capacities of heritage professionals in the United Arab Emirates, enhance the protection and management of World Heritage Sites in the United Arab Emirates, and raise awareness of the importance of conserving modern heritage and natural heritage.
