ARC-WH attends the 9th Session of the ICH General Assembly

During the 9th Session of the General Assembly of the State Parties to the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH), which was held at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France, from 5 to 7 July 2022, ARC-WH held a number of coordination meetings with the World Heritage Centre represented by its director, Mr Lazare Eloundou Assomo, deputy director, Dr Jyoti Hosagrahar, as well as the Arab Unit, and permanent delegates to UNESCO, to discuss the role of ARC-WH in the implementation of the 1972 World Heritage Convention. Discussions also included some thematic programmes for potential collaboration towards the safeguarding of cultural and natural heritage.
