In cooperation with the Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE) in the Kingdom of Bahrain, ARC-WH explored ideas to support Bahrain in expanding its work on the nomination file for the Hawar Islands.

A series of meetings and activities were held to prepare an IUCN Red List assessment which focused on the conservation status of marine life, including mammals, sea grass, birds, etc. in order to understand the importance of these species globally and understand their conservation status to support the upstream nomination process of the Hawar Islands.
