Organisation of Tourism Development and World Heritage Coastal Sites
Under the patronage of the Tourism Sector of the Ministry of Culture and ARC-WH, and in collaboration with the Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE), the Embassy of France to the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Coastal Protection Agency, UNEP-ROWA and IUCN organised a seminar on the “Tourism Development and World Heritage Coastal Sites” at ARC-WH premises from 13 to 15 April 2014.
This activity aimed to join the efforts through an exchange of ideas and discuss marine conservation status in Bahrain with an emphasis on Hawar Islands as a potential natural World Heritage site in Bahrain.
