As part of the initiative of ARC-WH to support cultural heritage in danger, a First Aid Course to Build Heritage in Syria was organised in Beirut, Lebanon, with the participation of several experts from Syria. This initiative stemmed from the MoU that was signed between ARC-WH and the Directorate-General of Antiquities and Museums (DGAM), represented by Dr. Mamoun Abdelkarim the director of DGAM.

The MoU included a list of activities that ARC-WH would support in future projects, including providing training for DGAM staff.
