ARC-WH held a series of meetings with local authorities in Mauritania to discuss methods of support towards the conservation and preservation of cultural and natural heritage in Mauritania. Upon the completion of the mission, four major areas of cooperation were identified:

1) Capacity building on the 1972 World Heritage convention.

2) Technical support towards the historical cities’ national programme.

3) Supporting future nomination files.
