Providing support for the Iraqi Marshlands (Ahwar)
The Tabe’a Programme at ARC-WH was invited by the Ministry of Health and Environment (MoHE) to the State Party of Iraq to provide technical guidance and support on the understanding of the World Heritage nomination process and best practices for the management of natural values of the proposed site of The Ahwar of Southern Iraq: Refuge of Biodiversity and the Relict Landscape of the Mesopotamian Cities, which took place from 31 December 2015 to 7 January 2016.
