From 1 to 5 March 2020, the Environment and Protected Areas Authority (EPAA) in cooperation with Wetlands International and BirdLife International, organised the Regional Workshop for Developing the Waterbirds Strategy in the Arabian Peninsula, where attendees from different countries from the Arab region participated in this important event.

The workshop aimed at establishing cooperation towards better conservation procedures, documentation and monitoring techniques to protect the unique natural heritage of Arabian wetlands by sharing international, national and local expertise and initiatives.
