On 5 July 2019, the Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage (ARC-WH), the host of the 7th Annual Coordination Meeting of UNESCO Category 2 Centres, organised the event, ‘UNESCO World Heritage-Related Category 2 Centres and Institutes’, in collaboration with the Participating Centres in the 7th Annual Coordination Meeting of UNESCO Category 2 Centres, at the 43rd session of the World Heritage Committee in Baku, Azerbaijan.

This event aimed to provide insight into the actions of UNESCO Category 2 Centres and Institutes in the implementation of the World Heritage Convention according to their regional or thematic mandate and their role in spreading and extending the action of the World Heritage Centre and the Advisory Bodies.
