In collaboration with the World Heritage Centre, the Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage (ARC-WH) organised a side-event on the ‘Third Cycle of the Periodic Reporting Exercise: A Collaborative Implementation in the Arab States Region’, at the 43rd session of the World Heritage Committee in Baku, Azerbaijan. The event shed light on the importance of this reporting system, including data gathering, procedures of the preparation of the action plans and overall mechanisms used in its implementation.

This supporting mechanism, which ARC-WH provided as a Category 2 Centre under the auspices of UNESCO, sheds light on the Periodic Reporting implementation in the Arab region in order to assist a World Heritage Focal Point and a Site Manager’s perspective.
