From 29 to 30 April, ARC-WH, in collaboration with the World Heritage Centre (WH), held the Second Sub-regional Workshop for Site Managers in the Arab States of the Third Cycle of the Periodic Reporting at ARC-WH headquarters in Manama, Bahrain.

Both institutions shared their conservation actions and activities undertaken. The World Heritage Convention was also introduced, along with its background and mechanisms used for the conservation of World Heritage sites. Moreover, the participants benefitted from training exercises on the main concepts of World Heritage inherent to the successful completion of Section II of the Periodic Reporting Questionnaire.

During the workshop, ARC-WH and WHC accompanied the site managers in filling out Section II of the Questionnaire to assist and answer the site managers’ queries, thereby ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the information asked in the Questionnaire.
