In the presence of Iraqi vice-minister of environment, Dr. Jassim Al Falahi, ARC-WH launched an exhibition showcasing the Iraqi Marshlands during the 1970s. The photographs were taken by French Photographer Alain Saint Hilaire, who visited several Arab cities during the 1960s and 1970s. The exhibition displayed the traditional practices of the local communities in the Ahwar region. It documented the importance of the Marshlands for the local population during that period of time.
