On 14 December 2020, the Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage (ARC-WH) organised a virtual regional Arab meeting on the role of the Centre and its aspirations to support the efforts of Arab countries in preserving the heritage of humanity. The meeting was held with the presence of Her Excellency Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Centre’s Board of Directors, His Excellency Mr Samir Al-Dhahr, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Morocco to UNESCO and Head of the Arab Group, Ms May Al-Shaer, Head of the Arab Countries Unit at the World Heritage Centre, in addition to the presence of their Excellencies Ambassadors of Arab countries to the UNESCO, World Heritage focal points of the Arab States and a Group of Arab Experts.
