The Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage (ARC-WH), in collaboration with Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), organised a workshop on ‘the World Heritage Nomination process and the technical requirements for the safeguarding of urban cultural heritage in Bahrain’. ARC-WH introduced the general concepts of World Heritage and its collaboration with the Kingdom of Bahrain and the specific research and studies conducted on the cultural heritage expressions of Manama, its cultural assets, and its surrounding urban environment.
