The third national workshop on the ‘application of the ecosystem approach to maintaining oyster beds in the Kingdom of Bahrain’ was organised on 18 March 2014 and was attended by the general public, representatives from the private sector, civil society organisations and academics. The workshop fell within the framework of the activities of the strategic partnership between the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE), the Ministry of Culture of Bahrain, the United Nations Environment Programme, the UNESCO Regional Office for West Asia and ARC-WH.
