The Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage (ARC-WH) hosted a lecture by Dr. Mishari Bin Abdullah Al Naeem entitled “The Urban and Visual Identity of Jeddah” that focused on the factors that contributed to and formed the architectural components of Historic Jeddah and its surrounding region.

Dr. Naeem discussed the philosophical aspects of Historic Jeddah’s unique urban features, as well as the historical, geographical, social and economic factors that shaped and created the Historic Jeddah that we know and recognize today.
