Organisation ARC-WH and Enhancing Regional Capacities Workshop
The workshop aimed at raising the capacity building of participants with the necessary skills and knowledge of global comparative analysis. The analysis provided justification for why a nominated property should be inscribed on the World Heritage List.
The training course introduced participants to advanced concepts, procedures, and sources of information associated with the preparation of comparative analyses. Participants also learned how to compile relevant scientific data and information to support robust comparisons. For this purpose, UNEP-WCMC methodology on Comparative Analysis Methodology for World Heritage Nominations under Biodiversity Criteria was used as a main reference.
