A ‎delegation from ARC-WH, represented by its director Mounir Bouchenaki, visited ‎the oasis of Al-‎Ahsa, inscribed in 2015 on the World Heritage Tentative List. The Al-Ahsa oasis lies ‎65km inland from the Arabian Gulf in eastern Saudi Arabia and is one of the ‎world’s largest oases in the world.‎ ARC-WH looked at the current legislation protecting the oasis and discussed each element of ‎the ‎management plan with all stakeholders involved.
