ARC-WH celebrated ‘Arab Tourism Day’ on 25 February 2016, in the presence of Dr. Taleb Al Rifai, Secretary-General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), and H.E. Sh. Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa. Every year ARC-WH, in collaboration with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), chooses a theme to honour this day. For 2016, the celebration was dedicated to ‘Heritage in Danger in the Arab Region’.
